Both parents and kids are fans of Storytown! Here’s what some of our audience members and friends have to say about our show:
For the past two years my daughter has hosted her birthday party at this show- by the second year, she didn’t want to hear any other options. As an educator, I can say emphatically that Storytown teaches cooperative play for kids without putting them on the spot and making them uncomfortable- kids can contribute in terms of what makes THEM comfortable. Adults can enjoy this show without feeling “talked down” to- the performers are adept at using the top of their intelligence to create a brand new show each time. The cast is extremely good at handling children, teaching theatre manners without condescension and keeping the show moving. The show also happens to be very funny as well.

I have recommended this show to other parents I know who have now made it a ritual to attend the shows with their kids. The feel of the show is much like a Pixar movie mashed up with an arts class combined with the Carol Burnett show. You will be laughing at this show just as much as your kids. The performers take their time with the children and guide them through the adventure of the show which is totally improvised based on a title provided by any random child in the audience. I have watched these skilled performers command the stage and captivate a room of 60 + kids hopped up on cake and soda, not a small feat. They all look like they are enjoying performing as much as we enjoy watching them perform. I highly recommend this show to any parent looking to have a good time with their children and I also recommend this to any school or institution looking to help their kids cultivate confidence in themselves.

You know what? You know what? I’m gonna go home! And I’m gonna tell my mom I wanna come back on Saturday, because I had so much fun today. I like art. I’m really good at it!

I heard great things about the field trip. The children and parents and teachers really enjoyed themselves! … At lunch today the children were remembering all of the stuff that they saw and were talking about the “parade”. Tell the cast thank you, for me!
